TÜRKİYE WILL BE THE FIRST HOST TO TEACHER EXCHANGE PROGRAM OF TURKISH WORLD

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer announced that the first Teacher Exchange Program among the Turkish State Organization member states will be held between June 6 and 12 in Ankara and İstanbul this year.

Minister Özer made statements concerning education cooperation activities among the Turkish State Organization member states namely Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Türkiye. Hungary and Turkmenistan are observer states of the Organization.
 
Noting that member states had the opportunity to exchange experience and build new partnerships since the foundation of the Organization which was 13 years ago, Özer reminded President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's remarks such as the organization under its new name and structure will rapidly and firmly grow and develop and Turkic geography will become a center of attraction and enlightenment for all humanity again.
 
"In this light, we continue to work in an effort to provide quality of education to member states and develop new cooperation education opportunities," said Minister Özer.
 
Name of the Cooperation Council of Turkish Speaking States was changed to Turkish States Organization after the 8th Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States hosted by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in last November.
 
Minister Özer noted that it was decided during this meeting that first teacher exchange program will be organized in Turkey in 2022 adding that:
 
"We believe educational cooperation among member states is very important. We have decided to organize the first teacher exchange program between June 6 and 12 in Ankara and İstanbul this year. Türkiye will be the first host of this program. We will invite teachers from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and observer states Turkmenistan and Hungary. We are aiming at introducing our education system to them and sharing our experience about distance education, Education Information Network activities carried out during Covid-19 pandemic. We will also focus on our projects concerning special education, guidance centers, vocational and technical education centers."
 
Özer stated that the teacher exchange program will also contribute to the reinforcement of mutual trust, friendship and cooperation among member states.
 
"Educational and cultural cooperation opportunities will be reinforced among member states"
One week long teacher exchange program will include school visits and cultural activities. Participant teachers will receive a certificate after the end of the program.
 
Minister Özer said that the Turkish States Organization is the outcome of a joint effort, vision and ideal and it is the symbol of common wish and will to build a future together.
