NEW RECORD FROM VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS: 2 BILLION TL CONTRIBUTION TO THE COUNTRY'S ECONOMY

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that the vocational and technical high schools increased their income as a part of revolving fund by 176 percent in the first eleven months of 2022 when compared to the figures of the same period in 2021 and increased their income from 707 million and 709 thousand liras to 1 billion and 955 million liras. Özer said that students got 94 million and 332 lira share from this income.

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that the goal of his Ministry is to carry vocational education to a higher level adding that, "Vocational high schools lost reputation in the past due to interventions such as coefficient practices. We are extremely happy to see that our efforts and improvement project gave results within a short period of time. Vocational high schools are making a 2 billion TL contribution to the country's economy today."
 
Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said that vocational and technical education students are making production in a real work environment within the context of "reinforcement of education-production-employment cycle" mentality and continue to support production activities with the purpose of learning while producing.
 
Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that the vocational and technical high schools increased their income as a part of revolving fund by 176 percent in the first eleven months of 2022 when compared to the figures of the same period in 2021 and increased their income from 707 million and 709 thousand liras to 1 billion and 955 million liras.
 
"Our goal was to reach one and a half billion lira production capacity in 2022 but we already exceeded our goal within the first ten months of this year," Özer said.
 
Vocational High School students got 94 billion and 332 thousand TL share from the income
Minister Özer noted that students and teachers also benefit from the income earned as a part of the revolving fund adding that, "This production capacity makes a contribution to both the country's economy and learning process of students. Within this framework, students got 94 billion and 332 thousand TL share and teachers received 206 million and 608 thousand TL share from the income earned in the first eleven months of 2022."
 
First five cities that increased their income most
Minister Özer gave information about income figures of five cities which hosted vocational and technical schools that increased their income most in the first eleven months of 2021 and 2022 and said, "Schools in İstanbul increased their income from 228 million and 638 thousand liras to 184 million and 312 thousand liras; schools in Ankara increased their income to 199 million liras. Schools in Gaziantep increased their income to 163 million liras and ranked third, schools in Bursa increased their income to 129 million liras and schools in Konya increased their income to 83 million liras and ranked fifth."
 
First three schools which increased their income most
Minister Özer said that first three schools that increased their income most in the first eleven months of 2022 are respectively Ankara Beypazarı Fatih and Technical Anatolia High School, Bursa Osmangazi Tophane Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School and Gaziantep Şehitkâmil- Beylerbeyi Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School.
 
Meanwhile, first three schools which earned highest income in the first eleven months of 2022 focus on informatics technologies, electric-electronic technology, chemistry technology, metal technology, furniture and interior design, metallurgy technology, plastic technology, textile technology, machine and design technology, construction technology, motor vehicle technology and family and consumer services. 
 
Schools earning the highest income as a part of rotating capital are respectively chemistry technology, furniture and interior design, food and beverage services, accommodation and travel services and fashion design technologies.
