MINISTER ÖZER HAD A MEETING WITH HIS AZERI COUNTERPART AMRULLAYEV

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer and Azerbaijani Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev got together for the reinforcement of cooperation between two countries in the field of education.


Deputy Ministers Petek Aşkar and Sadri Şensoy, Director General for EU and Foreign Affairs Burcu Eyisoy Dalkıran, Director General for Support Services Kemal Karahan, Director General for Vocational and Technical Education Nazan Şener, Director General for Secondary Education Halil İbrahim Topçu, Director for Strategy Development Mehmet Fatih Leblebici, Yükseköğretim, Director General for Study Abroad Cemal Yıldız and Azeri delegation attended the meeting held in  MEB Tevfik İleri Meeting Hall.

Expressing his happiness to welcome his Azerbaijani counterpart and his delegation, Minister Özer stated, "As a result of regular mutual visits, we had the opportunity to finalize projects that we developed in cooperation. Within this context, I believe protocol concerning vocational and technical education has special importance. We allocated funds, labor and time for increasing the quality of education in vocational and technical education according to the needs of the sector. These schools proved themselves during the pandemic."

Minister Özer stated that Turkey wants to share their experience in vocational education with Azeri education institutions.  

Reminding that Baku Turkish Education Institutions are at the center of education relations between two countries, Minister Özer mentioned that education institutions will be supported within the context of a mutual understanding.

Meanwhile, Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev expressed his happiness to visit Turkey and his wish to boost existing cooperation in education between two countries.
