FIRST AID TRAINING PROGRAM FOR MORE THAN 35 THOUSAND TEACHERS IN VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

More than 35 thousand teachers attended first aid training programs as a part of the 1000 Schools in Vocational Education Project. Deputy Minister of National Education Özer said, "11 thousand and 715 of these teachers successfully completed the training program" and stressed that the project aims at increasing the quality of education in vocational and technical education and decrease success discrepancies between schools."

The Ministry of National Education continues to take concrete steps in an effort to decrease success discrepancies between schools and reinforce vocational education within the framework of the 1000 Schools in Vocational Education Project."
 
As a part of the project carried out by the Ministry, 35 thousand and 328 teachers attended the first aid training program.
 
Until now, approximately 500 million liras were allocated to selected schools for the reinforcement of infrastructure of selected schools and education environment.
 
One of the goals of the project was to give first aid training to approximately 48 thousand teachers working in the selected schools. Till now, 35 thousand and 328 teachers have completed the theoretical first aid training program.
 
11 thousand and 715 of these teachers successfully completed the applied training program and managed to receive first aid certificates. The Ministry aims at completing the applied training programs of other teachers until the end of June.
 
243 thousand and 176 teachers have completed professional improvement training programs
Deputy Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that the project which was initiated approximately 8 months ago aims at increasing the quality of education in vocational and technical education and decreasing success discrepancies between schools.
 
Noting that 90 thousand and 958 school administrators and teachers have attended 4 thousand and 349 training programs organized in an effort to increase awareness about the project, Özer said: "As a part of the project, 1821 personal development and leadership training programs were organized for school administrators. 9 thousand and 224 administrators attended the training programs. Moreover, 67 thousand and 500 teachers attended measurement and assessment training programs and 40 thousand and 166 teachers completed intellectual and industrial property rights training programs."
 
Özer went on to say that "35 thousand and 328 teachers have completed a theoretical first aid training program. 11 thousand and 715 of these teachers successfully completed the applied training program and achieved first aid certificates. Till now, a total of 243 thousand and 176 teachers have attended training programs organized as a part of this project. All training programs continue as planned."
 
Deputy Minister Özer thanked Director General for Vocational and Technical Education Kemal Varım Numanoğlu and his colleagues, Dr. Sevil Uygun İlikhan and Dr. Aylin Şengün Taşcı and provincial directors of national education of 81 cities for their contribution to the project.
